The Book

The Book

Sales changed my life, and I believe it can change yours too. I am not exaggerating. Sales is the best job I have experienced, and in my opinion, sales ranks as the best job a person can pursue.

After 16 years of selling software and thankful for all of the coaching and guidance I received, I felt responsible to contribute to the sales profession. I started with 52 intentional LinkedIn posts: weekly digestible pieces of sales wisdom drawn from my journey. Then I expanded my project and collaborated with 52 friends in sales to discuss and share their most valuable insights. These friends have a wealth of experience in sales accounting for a combined 950 years of selling experience and greater than $3.5 billion of closed transactions.

This book contains all 104 posts, organized into seven chapters covering fundamental topics that define sales excellence.

A great read for anyone in professional sales. Those just starting their careers will find practical guidance and a strong foundation, while experienced sellers will recognize many of the skills and mindsets they have relied on for years.

What I appreciated most is how the book reinforces the fundamentals: discipline, resilience, relationships, preparation, and continually learning. It is an energizing reminder of what successful sales careers are really built on.

Highly recommended for sales professionals at any stage of their career.

Sales is one of the best career choices you can make in life. Trey does a great job highlighting with 52 of his sales colleagues/friends (including me) what makes sales fun, challenging and describes what success can look like.

This is a nice, easy read and a perfect gift for those looking to get into sales early in their career.

Sales Perspective reminds me of Harvey Penick's Little Red Book for golf—small enough to fit in your jacket pocket, yet packed with timeless wisdom you'll return to for years. Rather than pushing a single sales methodology, the authors distill practical lessons from seasoned sales leaders into short, memorable insights.

One idea that has stuck with me is approaching every customer interaction with a giving mentality: focus first on creating value, and the results follow. It's a simple principle, but one that captures the spirit of the entire book.

Beautifully designed, easy to carry, and full of hard-earned advice, this is a book every salesperson should keep close at hand.

A must-read for sales professionals and entrepreneurs at any stage. Packed with practical guidance-especially on listening, resisting the urge to talk about your own business, and keeping emails brief and to the point. A short, powerful read that I'll be sharing at our weekly team meetings throughout the year (one perspective per week for the next 52 weeks).

With this book, Trey brings the same mix of curiosity, humility, and humanity that he brings to his customer relationships daily. In an automated world where it gets more and more difficult to tell authenticity from noise, Trey shows that collaboration and learning from others will never become obsolete.
